Having been through the experience of social death and picked myself back up from it, I grew to be quite proud of the fact that I lived through what many people could have physically died from. As such, I am aware of my own tendencies to pride myself over others who seem to have "smaller problems" or did not live through the same thing. Unfortunately, that is a very disrespectful attitude and I want us all to be conscious of this tendency to protect our self-esteem and defend what little "value" we might see in ourselves especially if we're subjected to the degrading experiences of being bullied and ostracised. This is natural but destructive to our community as we intend to understand each other and support each other through whatever social dispositions each of us may be facing or have faced before.
Nobody has it worse.
Don't try to compare who has lived a more difficult life or who is facing a more difficult problem. That comparison cannot be made as human experiences are all relative and dependent on context. We are all sensitive to different things and we must keep in mind that we are all individuals with different values and perspectives. In the end, this is about being respectful to each other.
I know it's tough and some of us would inevitably break this rule unintentionally so I will try be lenient with this. A genuine apology to the offended will likely be in order if this rule is broken.
